About Kristi Wysocki
Kristi Wysocki is an FEI 4* Dressage and FEI 5* Para Dressage Judge. She is also a U.S. Equestrian Dressage Sport Horse judge. She has judged CDIs and CPEDs in the U.S., Europe, Australia and Canada. She judged the 2018 World Equestrian Games Para Dressage and the European Para Dressage Championships in 2017. She has judged many USDF Regional Championships and the USDF National Dressage Championships numerous times. On the Dressage Sport Horse side, Kristi has judged Dressage at Devon on many occasions and many other USDF Breeder Series Finals around the country. Some of her close mentors as a judge include Stephen Clarke, Gary Rockwell, Mary Seefried, Dieter Shule, Cara Whitham, Lilo Fore, Natalie Lamping.
Kristi has successfully trained and ridden many horses from starting youngsters to Grand Prix Dressage. She has had the opportunity to ride and train with some of the best, including Kyra Kyrklund, Hilda Gurney, Stephan Peters, Gary Rockwell, Debbie McDonald, Bent Jensen, Lisa Wilcox. She has competed several horses to the FEI levels, winning many regional and local championships through Grand Prix. She has also successfully competed in the CDI arena with multiple horses. She has earned her bronze, silver and gold medals from the USDF.
Kristi also loves to share her knowledge with others through teaching. She uses her background in engineering along with her extensive knowledge of conformation and movement of the horse to help relate the biomechanics of the horse and rider to her students to make understanding the sport easier by removing the mystery. Her students range from beginners to FEI, she loves teaching both. Several students have also competed successfully through the Grand Prix Level. She also has students that compete in Eventing, Western Dressage, and even the trail better.
Kristi teaches private clinics throughout the year in many different parts of the U.S. Each clinic is tailered to that group’s needs and desires. She also teaches seminars for large groups. Organizations that have hosted Kristi as a clinician and/or seminar presenter include USEF, USDF, California Dressage Society, New England Dressage Society, Oregon Dressage Society, Rocky Mountain Dressage Society, American Hanovarian Society.
She is chair of the USDF Sport Horse Committee, faculty member for the USDF Sport Horse Seminars and member of the U.S. Equestrian Test Writing Working Group. She has previously served on the USEF Dressage Sport Committee, USEF Para Technical Committee and the USEF International Disciplines committees. Her experience on these committees has also enhanced her education and understanding of the sport from the grass roots to the international level. She has been intimately involved in developing the USEF dressage tests for the last 8 years.
